On-cell Touch display
Laptops sold with regular LCDs cannot be upgraded to On-Cell Touch LCDs without further modifications due to different pinouts of video cables and different hardware configuration.
On-cell Touch display has a thin touchscreen layer positioned on top of the glass, and is used for Touch Screen laptops only!
Reuse original back cover, bezel and screws, video cable, mountings.
Installation steps:
- unplug battery and power supply;
- remove old bezel (usually secured by screws or snapped to frame);
- unscrew old broken LCD from mounting and disconnect video cable from LCD screen;
- install our new LCD, connect and secure video cable;
- install bezel.
